Terms and Conditions



The price given is a true estimate of what we expect to charge you. We reserve the right to increase a quoted fee in the event that the client requests a variation to the work agreed, the job takes longer than specified due to unforeseen circumstances/issues that arise whilst carrying out works or if the parts need to be purchased from a different supplier who may charge a higher fee.  You have the right to accept or decline the price. Payment will be required for any work completed up to the point you cancel. Quotes are valid for 30 days.



We charge per hour for the first hour and then by the half hour thereafter. Additional charges apply for works carried out after 6pm weekdays and weekends. Parking fee and/or congestion charge will be added if applicable. If specialist parts are needed, we may charge up to one hour’s travelling time to collect them. Our engineers always try to minimise travelling time and use the nearest available supplier. Our maximum markup on parts is 15%.



We will endeavour to complete the work within the specified time. We are only liable for delays caused by our negligence. Any work will be completed within a reasonable time and charged accordingly.



We may require payment to be made in stages which will be detailed on your quote. We accept all major credit and debit cards. A 3% charge will be added to credit card payment. We do not accept cheque as cheque guarantee card is no longer valid. Payment must be made in full on the day, unless agreed with us before work commences. Full payment is required on satisfactory completion. In the unlikely event you are dis-satisfied; we should be given the opportunity to complete any remedial work.



We work in line with the Supply of Goods & Services Act, which states that any work or service carried out for you must be done with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time and for a reasonable price (if not agreed beforehand). Any goods/parts provided should be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose and as described. If in the unlikely event a problem arises, we aim to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.



If you would like to change what is to be supplied, we would request that you confirm this in writing. This will ensure both parties have appropriate records and can refer back to what was agreed. If the customer or a designated person leaves the engineer at the premises and does not supervise the job, any changes or returns to the premises that the engineer has to do, there will be an extra charge, please bear this in mind.



If this contract is agreed in your home, you will be given information of your right to cancel in which you have fourteen days to cancel the contract. This is in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you cancel this contract outside the fourteen days, we reserve the right to deduct/claim the direct costs we have incurred.



We will not be liable for any damage unless caused by our negligence. Lights/spots/sockets/switches/covers that have not been removed in a while may cause chipping or cracks around the item or holes when removed, this may require a plasterer. Please bear this in mind. If Chasing along walls is required, a decorator may also once job has been completed. This may also cause dust throughout property which may require a cleaner.



You are responsible for the disposal of your own unwanted materials/accessories i.e. old sockets, switches, light fittings, hobs, heaters etc.
